Depending
on the level at which Key Skills are taken and the subject,
they correspond nationally to GCSEs and A-levels and in effect
allow the opportunity to our students to achieve qualifications
equivalent to GCSEs and A-levels in Maths, English and Information
Technology, if they have not done so in the past.
Needless
to say, for students who already have appropriate GCSEs and
A-levels, various exemptions from Key Skills apply. Initial
assessment of students' prior learning achievements is made
at the very beginning of the sign-up process.
