| The
CIT is designed to provide students, and those operating with
International Trade, an opportunity to broaden their awareness
of global trade issues and to gain a clear understanding of
the processes and practicalities of International Trade. The
CIT qualification is accepted as an entry qualification for
the Advanced Certificate in International Trade (ACIT).

The
ACIT focuses on the practical aspects of International Trade.
On completion of the ACIT, students will have acquired and
demonstrated a detailed knowledge of the principles, procedures
and documentation of International Trade. Students who have
successfully passed the ACIT can apply for Associate Membership
of the Institute, and are entitled to use the suffix of AMIEx
and proceed to the Diploma qualification if desired.

Diploma
in International Trade (DIT) |

The
DIT examines the ability of the student to manage the broader
managerial aspects of International Trade and make the right
decisions when problems arise. Students cannot sit the Diploma
examination unless they have successfully passed all four
papers of the ACIT or have been granted exemptions. On successful
completion of the DIT, students can apply for Graduate Membership
of the Institute and will be entitled to use the suffix of
MIEX (Grad).
