In September
2003, ITS Training Services was one of five organisations
to receive Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) status.
The CoVE programme is the cornerstone of the Government's
policy to reinvigorate technical and vocational specialism
within the FE sector and ITS's CoVE specialism is in International
Trade and Logistics.
CoVE has
been particularly practical in developing new and existing
resources to meet students' and employers' needs. ITS's CoVE
strategy has included the development of its e-learning equipment
and resources available to students, employers, staff and
other providers. An important aspect of CoVE is the dissemination
of good practice and various regular networking events have
enabled CoVEs to exchange ideas and best practice for the
benefit of individuals and UK education.
